Our client is an award-winning manufacturer of Food products. Due to growth they are now seeking a Quality Systems & Specifications Coordinator to join the team in a newly created role that will support the Technical Manager.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a privately owned company in a day based role.  The role is fast paced, demanding and diverse, and will hold a real breadth for exposure to all aspects of technical within the food industry. You will need to be an excellent communicator, with attention to detail and a passion for technical to be successful in this role. The primary responsibility is the management of all specification systems, internally and externally to ensure compliance with Technical and Quality Assurance accreditations. The role includes working to deadlines and providing varying information to meet customers' requirements. The role will involve prioritising and often varying a changing workload.
The Quality Systems & Specification Co-Ordinator role will involve:
·Management of both customer specification systems for continued company and customer compliance
·Effective monitoring of supplier raw material databases to ensure all documents held are up to date.
·Completion of raw material risk assessments and communication within the business where required.
·Completing internal audits of site systems and QMS procedures to ensure compliance, and all corrective action being followed up within the required timescales
·Requesting accreditation certificates and reports from suppliers
·Approval of raw material and packaging specifications
Quality Systems & Specification Co-Ordinator Desirable Qualifications
·Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a food manufacture environment.
·Recognised qualification such as HND/degree in a food manufacture discipline.
·intermediate/advanced food hygiene certificate
·Previous experience with retailer specification systems is advantageous
·Experience in BRC/HACCP/ISO 14001
·Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
·Understanding of food legislation, HACCP & TACCP principles
