IT Suport - wellington - £competitive plus excellent benefits
My client, a successful global manufacturing company, is looking to recruit a Junior IT Support / IT Administrator  / Systems Administrator / IT Technician / IT Technician to work handling onsite support requests at one of their manufacturing sites in Wellington near Taunton.   The Technician is responsible for supporting the users and to ensure the stable operation of the organisation's desktop computing environment and in-house computer network, this includes ensuring continuity of computer system services for end-users by providing the technical expertise, assistance and project coordination necessary to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems. The IT Technician will also collaborate with the System Administrators to ensure efficient operations and minimize downtime.
Key duties will include:
·Respond to incident calls and tickets from users on desktop / end user systems related issues
·Performs on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop issues for end-users; this includes software, hardware and peripherals support. Software and image repair, recovery and rebuild
·Liaise with other IT groups within the organization or third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
·Provide responsive advice and direction to staff when contacted about services and support processes
Key skills required for role:
·IT support experience
·Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
·Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware, including Business Desktop, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, etc.
·Experience with supporting and troubleshooting hardware, systems & applications.
·Extensive applications support experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office 365 productivity suite.
·French speaking helpful though not essential
